Do moving companies pay drivers to retrieve trucks from other states?

I’m moving and am curious if its possible to get a truck cheaper if I drive it back to its original location…
A friend of mine mentioned if I called companies like Ryder, who only go one way, that they might give me a discount if I am returning a truck for them. Is that true?

Do you know of any moving truck companies that have extended cabs for families?

I’m looking for a company that rents out moving trucks with bigger cabs so more people can fit in the truck.

if your talking about a company like U-haul no you wouldn’t get it cheaper, it would be more because your paying for the extra gas/fuel and for any extra days you have it, all they do is when you drop the truck/trailer off that place is now using that truck/trailer until someone uses it to move to another town or state

i helped my best friend and his wife move, all we need was 1 U-haul trailer, we live in NC but the trailer had a NY license plate on it
