I have used them and think they’re pretty good, some experiences better than others but not specific to any one company. I have also found them to be the cheapest.

They are not a moving company. They rent you a vehicle and sell you the packing boxes. They’ll even rent you storage if needed. Their vehicles, however, do not have the highest maintenance records or standards. About a year ago the company was on the verge of losing its license to operate vehicles in Ontario. They may have improved but Caveat Emptor!

Most moving companies are virtually the same. You rent a vehicle and you drive it. They all serve the same purpose. Cost would make the difference between the companies.

Most truck rental places are basically the same just a few small variations between them. Basically what color and name do you like? U Haul, Penske, Budget, Enterprise, local companies, etc.

U-haul is not a moving company, they simply rent vehicles so you can do the moving yourself.

If you are going to go the do-it-yourself moving route, I would recommend Ryder truck rental. U-Haul is OK for short, around town minor moves, such as a refrigerator or a few pieces of furniture. But, my personal experience with them has shown them to be high priced compared to the others, and their trucks tend to be in shoddy condition. I wouldn’t trust one to make a cross country move without breaking down. They are okay for furniture dollies and packing materials though.
